Liz and Claire were born in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. They grew up surrounded by derelict cotton mills: reminders of an industrial age of creation, community and hard work. During the early 1990’s Liz and Claire moved to central Manchester. They continued to love and respect the same grand honest buildings that still grace the Manchester skyline today.
Being born and bred in Rochdale: the birthplace of Co-operation and home to the very first successful Co-operative model, inspired Liz and Claire to name their company Mill Co - operation, the obvious name and place to house a virtual, creative conscious community.
